  •  Keep Published doesn't exclusively mean "appearing in a magazine or newspaper", it means "made public". These images were distributed without a copyright notice to get newspapers to display them, rather than pay for an ad. We house over 5,000 of these publicity images. By 1989 they were automatically copyrighted, there was then no need to register for a copyright, display a properly formatted copyright symbol with a properly formatted date, or renew a copyright. --RAN (talk) 01:13, 16 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
